AURICLE COMMUNICATIONS noncommercial Variety WFMU/JERSEY CITY-NEW YORK has opened a performance space in a vacant storefont on the first floor of its JERSEY CITY studio building at 43 Montgomery Street.
The space opened SATURDAY night with a sold-out show including PAMPERS, SPECTRE FOLK, DOUG GILLARD, and WATERY LOVE and is the downtown core's first major venue for live music; WFMU collected donations from listeners to build the facility, which is as yet officiually unnamed but is being referred to by the station as "MONTY HALL."
