JOURNAL Talk KFAQ-A/TULSA host MICHAEL DELGIORNO has been banned from CREEK NATION casinos after allegedly taking poker chips following a losing hand of blackjack. DELGIORNO was also reportedly asked to leave a CHEROKEE NATION casino on the same day last year after allegedly making sexually inappropriate remarks, according to the TULSA WORLD.
The accusations are ironic, considering that DELGIORNO has been a frequent critic of Indian casinos and gamblers on his radio show. He denied any knowledge of the incident until he was informed that a tape existed. He then said his station's corporate policy prohibited him from commenting.
"I don't know anything about that. I haven't even heard that rumor," he told the TULSA WORLD, adding, "Pulling a bet at the table? We are going to have to go through corporate. I would love to give my side of the story."
Responding to a request by the paper, the CREEK NATION released the report MONDAY (8/14) and allowed a reporter to view a casino surveillance tape, which allegedly shows DELGIORNO sitting at a blackjack table and pulling his bet. After being advised of the incident, DELGIORNO alleged responded that he didn't realize he had done that. A 30-day ban was issued along with a request for a permanent ban.
