GARTH BROOKS’ highly anticipated 2014 World Tour will kick off in CHICAGO, according  to the website for CBS RADIO Country WUSN/CHICAGO.

BROOKS confirmed plans for a tour during last WEEK’s press conference (NET NEWS 7/10) but refused to reveal the city of launch. That detail was promised to a man known simply as “ANDY,” who had attended a BROOKS show in LAS VEGAS earlier this YEAR.

During that show, ANDY asked GARTH where the tour would begin; GARTH said he did not know at the time but took ANDY’s contact information, promising to tell him first, once dates were confirmed.

ANDY's TWITTER account,@TFMANDY later confirmed what WUSN somehow already knew, after CUMULUS Country WKHX/ATLANTA, from ANDY's hometown, made the announcement on the air.
