Cities 92.9/Bloomington-Normal's Ian Bayne Leads Revolt Against Tax Hike, Flamingo Museum

GREAT PLAINS MEDIA News-Talk WRPW (CITIES 92.9)/BLOOMINGTON-NORMAL, IL morning host IAN BAYNE is leading a tax revolt movement by encouraging listeners to protest a BLOOMINGTON city initiative to fund a flamingo museum while gas taxes are raised.  BAYNE has been asking listeners to put anti-tax flamingo-adorned yard signs in their yards, and the station has been running out of the signs, which now number over 100. BLOOMINGTON Mayor TARI RENNER appeared on TUESDAY's show to respond to BAYNE's protest movement.

BAYNE said, "This campaign is just the beginning of a listener revolt here in central Illinois, to fight back against government oppression.  I have three words for this: yes we can."
