LAUREN RUDD is selling his 50% voting interest in FLORIDA TALK RADIO, LLC., licensee of News-Talk WSRQ-A and W295BH/SARASOTA, FL, to partners SUSAN NILON and JIM LAMPL for $10 from each buyer, settling disputed claims between the parties. After the transaction, RUDD will withdraw as co-manager, and NILON will hold 50% of the equity (increasing from 40%) and 100% of the votes of the company, with LAMPL having 50% of the equity, up from his present 20%.
In other filings with the FCC, THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA is transferring K230BF/ADA, OK to THE LOVE STATION, INC. in exchange for an agreement between the parties for the shared use of a tower in SHAWNEE, OK.
HOPE CHRISTIAN CHURCH OF MARLTON, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for W243BR/YORK, PA after losing its tower lease.
GEORGIA EAGLE MEDIA, INC. has requested a Silent STA for W244CL/COCHRAN, GA "due to failure by its rebroadcast primary station."
And the Commission has selected winners in five mutually exclusive application groups for FM translators, resolving competitions that date back to 2001. Tentative selectees are COMMUNITY BROADCASTING, INC. at ST. JOSEPH, MO; LIVING WAY MINISTRIES, INC. at WEEHAWKEN, NJ (NEW YORK CITY) and GAINESVILLE, GA; WORLD REVIVALS, INC. at NARBERTH, PA (PHILADELPHIA); and RADIO TRAINING NETWORK, INC. at OLDSMAR, FL (TAMPA).
