CLEAR CHANNEL Sports KLSD-A (XTRA SPORTS 1360)/SAN DIEGO will revamp its lineup with more local programming and a name adjustment to XTRA 1360 FOX SPORTS SAN DIEGO reflecting a new relationship with regional sports cable channel FOX SPORTS SAN DIEGO, starting MONDAY (7/21).
Market veterans DAVE PALET and JEFF DOTSETH have been named the new morning show 6-9a (PT), replacing CHRIS ELLO and BEN HIGGINS. FOX SPORTS RADIO's JAY MOHR (9a-noon) and DAN PATRICK (noon-2p) remain in place, although PATRICK loses an hour; STEVE HARTMAN brings "THE LOOSE CANNONS" back to local SAN DIEGO radio paired with MIKE COSTA for 2-6p (HARTMAN launched the show on the old XETRA-A (XTRA SPORTS 690) with the late CHET FORTE and later hosted the show nationally on FOX SPORTS RADIO). "CHARGERS POWER HOUR WITH JUDSON RICHARDS" will move from 3-4p to 6-7p weeknights, followed by "XTRA AT NIGHT" 7-8p and carriage of FOX SPORTS RADIO's JASON SMITH expanding to 8-11p. NBC SPORTS RADIO's "THE DRIVE" and "AMANI AND DAN" leave the schedule.
HARTMAN said, "I could not be more excited about returning to the city where my radio career started. So many great memories with many new experiences to come. We have assembled a lineup second to none in SAN DIEGO and look forward to giving CHARGER fans a true radio home."
FOX SPORTS SAN DIEGO SVP/GM HENRY S. FORD added, "We've enjoyed a great relationship with XTRA SPORTS 1360 since last fall. The changes announced today, more closely align our brands, and strengthens the partnership in so many ways."
