CLEAR CHANNEL COMMUNITIES, The Community Engagement Brand of CCM+E, and Urban WUSL (POWER 99)/PHILADELPHIA will continue with the 11th annual PEACE ON THE STREET JAM, a series of three events featuring anti-violence activities designed to promote peace and provide communities with resources to help prevent violence.
The second JAM of the series is being held this WEDNESDAY JULY 23rd from 4-8p at the DELL MUSIC CENTER and will feature artists DIGGY SIMMONS, TINASHE, TREVOR JACKSON along with DJ RL, and DIAMOND KUTZ. The event will be hosted by POWER's RISE AND GRIND MORNING SHOW.
POWER 99 will also announce the three winners of its PEACE ON THE STREET essay contest, held in partnership with PHILADELPHIA FUTURES -- a local organization providing first generation college students with resources for admission. Each winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship.
CCM+E Dir./ News and Community Affairs LORAINE BALLARD MORRILL said, "THE PEACE ON THE STREET JAM series are perfect events for POWER 99 and its listeners to rally and help make PHILADELPHIA a safer community."
