CUMULUS, WESTWOOD ONE and "THE BERT SHOW," "NIGHTS LIVE WITH ADAM BOMB," "NASH NIGHTS LIVE," and "AMERICA's MORNING SHOW: are rallying around a little boy in FOXBORO, MA, who is battling a rare form of inoperable brain cancer. DANNY NICKERSON's 6th birthday is this FRIDAY, JULY 25, and all he wants is a "big box of birthday cards".
Since his cancer diagnosis last OCTOBER, he has stopped going to kindergarten and undergoes chemotherapy every two weeks. He gets lonely from time to time, and is always happy to get cards with his name written on them.
So CUMULUS and WESTWOOD ONE are making sure DANNY gets all the birthday cards they can possibly send his way.
This week they are asking listeners -- via websites, on-air and through social media to send birthday cards to DANNY and the response has already been tremendous. Check out some of the comments on the NASH NIGHTS LIVE FACEBOOK PAGE, which saw almost 200 shares of the story just last night after the campaign was announced on the show.
Listeners are being asked to mail birthday cards to DANNY this week at: DANNY NICKERSON, P.O. Box 212, FOXBORO, MA, 02035.
