The man accused of murdering an employee at the STECKLINE COMMUNICATIONS radio station cluster in WICHITA will stand trial on AUGUST 25th, reports CBS affiliate KWCH-TV. ANTWON BANKS has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of DANIEL FLORES, who was found in the basement of the building where STECKLINE operates Classic Country KWLS, Sports KGSO-A and Talk KQAM-A last FEBRUARY.
At a preliminary hearing on WEDNESDAY, a witness, a fellow inmate at county jail being held on aggravated battery charges, testified that BANKS told him he did not mean to kill FLORES, first saying that he had gone to the station to get tax paperwork from his girlfriend who worked there, but then changed his story and said he had gone to the station to confront a man who he thought was texting his girlfriend. A judge found probable cause to charge BANKS in the case.
