Condolences to family and friends of former WTLC-A-F/INDIANAPOLIS GM/host and Gospel singer/songwriter/producer AL HOBBS, who died THURSDAY (7/31) of cancer at 71.
Known as "The Bishop," HOBBS was with WTLC for 25 years as SUNDAY "LOVE EXPRESS" host, Sales Manager, and General Manager, retiring from the station in 1993. The show returned later at noncommercial WITT.
He started ALEHO INTERNATIONAL RECORDS in 1992. HOBBS was also active with INDIANA BLACK EXPO, and was honored with that organization's Founders Award two weeks ago but was too ill to attend the ceremony.
