ABC-TV’s three-hour broadcast of TUESDAY evening's (8/5) “CMA Music Festival: Country's Night To Rock” powered the network to a #1 ranking across all key adult demos, including Adults 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.
CAPITOL's LITTLE BIG TOWN hosted and performed on the televised concert highlight show from JUNE’s four-day CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL. The special earned ABC-TV its second-highest number in five years among viewers (7.2 million) and adults 18-49 while reaching an eight-year high with adults 18-34.
While winning the night for ABC-TV, year-to-year results for total viewership of "CMA MUSIC FESTIVAL" dipped from 8.2 million in 2013. This year, the show faced head-to-head competition with "AMERICA's Got Talent," airing on NBC-TV.
The results from last NIGHT’s show came via ABC-TV, which sourced THE NIELSEN COMPANY.
ABC and CMA utilized the platform to announce BRAD PAISLEY and CARRIE UNDERWOOD would return for a seventh consecutive year, as hosts of the annual "CMA AWARDS," set for WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 5th in NASHVILLE (NET NEWS 8/6).
