GARTH BROOKS sold out three shows TODAY (8/8) for his tour stop at PHILIPS ARENA in ATLANTA.
GARTH and wife TRISHA YEARWOOD will spend YEARWOOD's birthday on stage at PHILIPS ARENA in ATLANTA on FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th (NET NEWS 7/30). While it was speculated that many additional shows would be added to the ATLANTA tour stop to match the 10 shows being held in CHICAGO the week before (NET NEWS 7/25), GARTH has currently only opened tickets for three shows in ATLANTA.
GARTH experienced technical difficulties TODAY with his TICKETMASTER sales for his ATLANTA tour stop.
The Country superstar took to the airwaves of CUMULUS Country WKHX (KICKS/101.5)/ATLANTA to express his frustration with the technical difficulties being experienced by the reported 100,000 fans waiting in queue attempting to purchase tickets.
YEARWOOD also expressed frustration and sympathy for the fans, taking to her FACEBOOK page to update those who spent hours attempting to purchase tickets. "I am feeling your frustration. Trying to get tickets myself just to see how the system works. I can't get in. I've been trying for almost an hour. We KNOW what you're going through. Hang with us," wrote YEARWOOD. Two hours later, there were still issues. "Thank you for your turn-out today. We feel your frustration, and we're going to try to fix the problem. As soon as we have any information, we'll share it with you. Thank you, ATLANTA for your patience. You know how much I love you!" expressed YEARWOOD again via her social media platforms.
While it remains unclear if additional shows will be added to the ATLANTA tour stops, what can be taken away from the CHICAGO and ATLANTA ticket sales is the continued excitement for all things GARTH. Currently, two shows are scheduled for FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 19th and one show is on deck for SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th. All three shows have sold out, to the tune of just over 53,000 tickets.
