Omaha's 'Big O' Morphs Into '101.9 The Keg'

NRG MEDIA Adult Hits KOOO (BIG O 101.9)/OMAHA has retooled with the new slogan "101.9 THE KEG."  CRASH DAVIS will host mornings on the revamped station.

GM ANDY RUBACK said of the new version of the format, “It’s Adult Hits without the Pop.  THE KEG is all about the party and all about the fun, which to us means yes to VAN HALEN and no to the GO-GO'S.”

OM JEFF LYNN added, “We surveyed OMAHA adults 25-to-54 years of age and this is what they asked for. If you look at a 40-ish consumer target in OMAHA, THE KEG is a top-to-bottom format designed just for them.  THE KEG is the 'next generation of classic rock,' as we put it -- appealing to adults with its uptempo and fun music variety.”
