CORUS News-Talk CKNW-A/VANCOUVER has announced its new lineup in the wake of the retirements of longtime hosts BILL GOOD and PHILLIP TILL, with afternoon host JON MCCOMB taking over mornings 5:30-10a, afternoon host SIMI SARA moving to 10a-2p, evening host MIKE ECKFORD taking over 2-6p, and JUSTIN WILCOMES, known as evening host DREX at his current station, sister Alternative CFOX (99.3 THE FOX), hosting a new 6-10p show. The new lineup starts SEPTEMBER 2nd.
WILCOMES achieved notoriety when he was fired at VISTA BROADCAST GROUP Active Rock CFCP (98.9 JET, now 98.9 THE GOAT)/COURTENAY, BC for asking BRITISH COLUMBIA Premier CHRISTY CLARK (a former CKNW host) a question from a listener about what it was like to be a "MILF," and subsequently was hired by CORUS.
CORUS VANCOUVER Dir./AM Programming IAN KOENINGSFEST said, “This is definitely a new chapter in the history of this great radio station. Our station has long had the most outspoken, engaging hosts in CANADA. This new lineup carries on with that tradition.”
