CARRIE UNDERWOOD returns for her second season as the performer of NBC-TV's SUNDAY Night Football (SNF) anthem "Waiting All Day for SUNDAY Night."
UNDERWOOD's opening montage for the weekly broadcast will first air at the beginning of the game between the DENVER BRONCOS and the INDIANAPOLIS COLTS on SNF's opening night, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7th. UNDERWOOD will be joined by eleven NFL players in the musical number, which was shot in JUNE.
Players include the DENVER BRONCOS Quarterback PEYTON MANNING, NEW ORLEANS SAINTS Tight End JIMMY GRAHAM, and PHILADELPHIA EAGLES Running Back LESEAN MCCOY. "They might want me to replace CARRIE UNDERWOOD," said MCCOY. "Out of all the players, I'm definitely the best singer."
SNF returns to NBC-TV on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 7th beginning with "Football Night in America" at 7p (ET). For a full schedule of SNF games, visit the NFL schedule website.
