Cox Media/Tampa Names Dan Mason OM

COX MEDIA GROUP (CMG)/TAMPA has named DAN MASON OM for Alternative WSUN (97X), Top 40/Mainstream WPOI (HOT 101.5) and Talk WHPT (102.5 THE BONE), effective SEPT. 8th. MASON will also serve as WPOI's Dir./Branding and Programming.

Previously, MASON served as PD of CBS/BOSTON's 103.3 AMP Radio (WODS). CBS VP/Hot AC STEVE SALHANY will become PD at WODS and continue as PD at crosstown sister Hot AC WBMX as well as continuing as OM at CBS/HARTFORD, where he has been overseeing N/T/S WTIC-A, Hot AC WTIC-F, AC WRCH, and Top 40/R WZMX.

“DAN's approach to programming is firmly in line with ours,” CMG/TAMPA’s VP/Market Manager KEITH LAWLESS said. “He is a welcome addition to our team, and I am confident his contributions will help us continue to compete and win.”
