Condolences to family and friends of MONTANA broadcasting veteran DAN SNYDER, who died WEDNESDAY (8/20) at 87 in KALISPELL, MT, according to MTN NEWS.
SNYDER started his career at KGVO-A/MISSOULA, MT while attending the UNIVERSITY OF MONTANA, and then became PD, Sales Manager, and GM at KBMN-A/BOZEMAN. He founded KBGF-TV/GREAT FALLS in 1955 and KRTV/GREAT FALLS in 1958.
After a brief retirement following the sale of KRTV and stints in banking and real estate, SNYDER served as GM at KCAP-A-F/HELENA and KGHL-A-F/BILLINGS and later worked at ANDERSON BROADCASTING. He also served as President of the MONTANA BROADCASTERS ASSOCIATION, which inducted him into its Hall of Fame in 2006.
