EMINEM is ready for BLACK FRIDAY. The hip-hop icon's SHADY RECORDS is set to release a two-CD collection, "ShadyXV," on NOVEMBER 24th, which will feature the label's greatest hits plus all-new material.
The set will celebrate the label’s 15th anniversary with its 15th release: "ShadyXV" will feature one disc that includes the label’s greatest hits, including classics such as 50 CENT’s “In Da Club” and EMINEM’s “Lose Yourself” plus an album of new material from EMINEM, SLAUGHTERHOUSE, BAD MEETS EVIL, D-12 and YELAWOLF as well as special guest-artist collaborations.
"Shady XV" will be preceded by a new EMINEM single, “Guts Over Fear," featuring SIA, produced by EMILE HAYNIE (GRAMMY winner for EMINEM'S Best Rap Album, "Recover"). The song is available on ITUNES today.
"Guts Over Fear" is currently featured in the trailer for SONY PICTURES’ upcoming film, the ANTON FUQUA-directed “The Equalizer,” out SEPTEMBER 26th, which premiered AUGUST 15th. “Guts Over Fear” will run during the closing credits of the film.
SHADY RECORDS was founded in 1999 by EMINEM and his manager PAUL ROSENBERG. The first artist signed, D12, hit double platinum and #1 with their debut album, "Devil’s Night," followed by the "8 Mile" soundtrack, which also went to #1 and produced the OSCAR-sinning Best Original Song "Lose Yourself." Shady artist 50 CENT then debuted in 2003 with the #1 "Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ (2003), an eight times platinum smash and the fastest-selling debut in history.
Other artists on the label include D12, OBIE TRICE and BAD MEETS EVIL, with new albums coming up from YELAWOLF and supergroup SLAUGHTERHOUSE.
