So, where's BUBBA THE LOVE SPONGE headed?  Rumors of the TAMPA-based host's next gig in the TAMPA BAY market are rampant, and he sent out three tweets indicating that a deal for a new local home for his show is imminent.

"I'll have a MAJOR Announcement within 20 days of my new Tampa home gonna be so so so great," BUBBA tweeted MONDAY (all sic'd).  "Deal is practically done. Got my pick of 2 different places. Both are a breath of fresh air compared2have we have been treated.  It's a multistation/multimarket deal much larger than/exsisting cox deal.Cox did me a favor.I get paid till jan1 thenon2 a betterplace more$"

BUBBA's show was jettisoned by COX MEDIA GROUP Talk WHPT (102.5 THE BONE)/TAMPA, which is moving MIKE CALTA's afternoon show into the morning slot, with DREW GARABO moving into afternoons and SHANNON BURKE to middays.  BUBBA is continuing to air on his other affiliates while a new deal is finalized.
