CLEAR CHANNEL Country WBWL (101.7 THE BULL)/BOSTON continues to staff up, naming MASSACHUSETTS native JESSICA CALLAHAN for afternoons, effective TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 9th. CALLAHAN most recently handled middays at SISON BROADCASTING Top 40 WXXX/BURLINGTON, VT, while tracking the same daypart for CODCOMM Top 40 WHYA/HYANNIS, MA.
“JESSICA is a fresh, vibrant personality who brings a lifelong passion for BOSTON and Country music to 101.7 THE BULL,” said VP/Programming for CLEAR CHANNEL/BOSTON, DYLAN SPRAGUE.
The station flipped in JUNE (NET NEWS 6/16) and has been playing commercial-free music all SUMMER, with PREMIERE's syndicated "THE BOBBY BONES SHOW" already named for mornings. TODAY’s (9/2) move follows last WEEK’s appointment of LANCE HOUSTON as PD of THE BULL (NET NEWS 8/25)
“JESSICA is exactly the right person — with deep BOSTON roots — to ‘grab the BULL by the horns’ and deliver exactly what Country music’s passionate, young audience in BOSTON wants on their commute home,” commented HOUSTON.
Added CALLAHAN, “I am beyond excited to be heading home to BOSTON and working with the CLEAR CHANNEL BOSTON radio team. Thank you to LANCE HOUSTON and DYLAN SPRAGUE for making my radio dream come true; can't wait to crack the mic on ‘BOSTON's NEW HIT COUNTRY 101.7 THE BULL."
