MARIA EGAN has been appointed President of PULSE MUSIC PUBLISHING. Formerly EVP at PULSE and, prior to that, VP A&R at COLUMBIA RECORDS, EGAN will now oversee A&R/Creative for the music publishing company in addition to her existing role in the continuing expansion of its producer and artist management divisions.
PULSE co-CEO SCOTT CUTLER said, “In the short time we’ve worked together, it has become clear that MARIA shares our vision of the future of music publishing and management, and that she has the talent to make it a reality. As a published songwriter for 25 years, I have always known exactly what I wanted in a music publisher and manager, and have tried to build PULSE in that image. MARIA has impeccable taste and all the skills necessary to help guide PULSE’s growth and maximize our impact in this ever-changing landscape.”
EGAN added, “Under SCOTT CUTLER and JOSH ABRAHAM''s leadership, PULSE has proved to be one of the most progressive and artist-friendly new companies in the music business. My first year has been one of the highlights of my career and it’s thrilling to see a boutique owned and operated by creatives go from strength to strength. I’m honored to be given the opportunity to help steer Pulse through its next phase of growth.”
