Wixen Music Publishing Signs Deal With Stevie Ray Vaughan Estate

WIXEN MUSIC PUBLISHING has just signed a worldwide administration deal with the Estate of STEVIE RAY VAUGHAN, it was announced by company Pres. RANDALL WIXEN. The publishing company will also handle the repertoire of the late artist's brother, JIMMIE VAUGHAN, including  works written for his former band, THE FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS. Other recent WIXEN administration signings include THE BYRDS’ ROGER McGUINN, CHICAGO's ROBERT LAMM, JEFFERSON AIRPLANE's GRACE SLICK and ukulele virtuoso JAKE SHIMABOKORO.

“These are real great signings for us,” said WIXEN. "We are thrilled to be working with these iconic American repertoires. We will be working hard to insure that all royalties are being collected properly while simultaneously taking steps to reinvigorate public awareness and generate new uses.”

WIXEN MUSIC PUBLISHING, a family-run business of 20 employees, have been in business since 1979, with an office in LOS ANGELES and a sister company, WIXEN MUSIC UK LTD in LONDON. The companies administer the song catalogs of artists, including GEORGE HARRISON, THE DOORS, NEIL YOUNG, TOM PETTY, THE BLACK KEYS, ANDREW BIRD and FITZ & THE TANTRUMS.
