WESTWOOD ONE will launch another season of NFL coverage TONIGHT (9/4) with one addition to the announcing crew, former NFL quarterback KURT WARNER, who will alternate with fellow former QB BOOMER ESIASON for MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL analyst duties. ESIASON, play-by-play voice KEVIN HARLAN, and pre-game/halftime host JIM GRAY are all returning this season, starting with tonight's SEATTLE-GREEN BAY game.
WARNER, who played in two SUPER BOWLs, winning one with the ST. LOUIS RAMS, said, "I love being in the studio for NFL Network on SUNDAY mornings but I am really excited for the opportunity to be at the stadium in the broadcast booth calling games for WESTWOOD ONE. It's the closest I can be to actually playing the game and now I can have the best of both worlds."
EVP/Executive Producer HOWARD DENEROFF added, "To be able to add a player and person of KURT WARNER's caliber is really exciting for us. His work ethic and dedication, along with his insight and football acumen, will no doubt make him as successful in the booth as he was on the field."
