Congratulations to LEE "HACKSAW" HAMILTON on his 20th anniversary on the air with the station that is now CLEAR CHANNEL Sports KLAC-A (AM570)/LOS ANGELES.
HAMILTON, the former SAN DIEGO CHARGERS announcer and four-time winner of "Talk Show Host of the Year" from the SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA SPORTS BROADCASTERS, started with the station when it was known as XTRA SPORTS 690 and aired on XETRA-A/ROSARITO-SAN DIEGO in 1987, staying with it through simulcasts on KWNK-A/SIMI VALLEY-LOS ANGELES and then KXTA-A/LOS ANGELES, and eventually moving with the format through three owners, four frequencies, 10 GMs, 6 PDs, and five format alterations to KLAC, where he presently hosts weekend shows and his well-known weekday afternoon "Best 15 Minutes In Sports Radio" segments and contributes commentaries on MANCOW's morning show and "THE LOOSE CANNONS"' midday show. He also continues to serve as sports anchor for mornings at sister Talk KOGO-A/SAN DIEGO and afternoons at Classic Rock KGB/SAN DIEGO.
