The SOCIETY OF LEADERS IN DEVELOPMENT (SOLID) has donated $40,208 to local charities in 2014. This marks the most money donated in one year in the 17-year history of the organization and the first time SOLID's donation amount has surpassed $40k.
"SOLIDS's 17th year has been truly remarkable so far," said SOLID Pres. BRIAN O'NEIL. "Reaching such a big milestone would not have been possible without the collaborative efforts of all of our members. I'm truly honored to be part of an organization with such a positive philanthropic impact on our community, and we still have 10 more events coming up this year!"
Local charities benefitting from SOLID's 2014 donations include BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS OF MIDDLE TENNESSEE, the MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ASSOCIATION (MDA), MUSICCARES, MUSICIANS ON CALL, SOLES FOR SOULS and more.
SOLID is now accepting applications for the organization's Class of 2015. Qualified applicants who have worked in the music industry for at least one year full-time can download the application here. All applications are due no later than WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 1st.
