NATIONAL PUBLIC RADIO Exec. Editor for News Programing ELLEN MCDONNELL is exiting the network. NPR Chief Content Officer KINSEY WILSON told staff in a memo THURSDAY (9/4) that MCDONNELL will be leaving by the end of the year, reports NPR.ORG.
The departure of MCDONNELL, who has been with NPR since 1979 ad served as Exec. Producer of "MORNING EDITION" in 1998-2007, follows the exit of VP/News MARGARET LOW SMITH, who left last month to join THE ATLANTIC.
