CBS RADIO Oldies WOGL/PHILADELPHIA held its LOVES OUR KIDS RADIOTHON and raised $681,575 on SEPT. 4th-5th for The Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) at THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF PHILADELPHIA. In the past 13 years, 98.1 WOGL has raised $6,928,760.33 for CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL.
In addition to the two-day Radiothon, donations were collected during special weekend programming with WOGL DJs HARVEY HOLIDAY and BOB PANTANO. In three hours on HARVEY HOLIDAY’s Street Corner SUNDAY program, “Holiday’s Heroes” came together to pledge over $22,000 towards the Radiothon grand total. On SATURDAY night during the 98.1 WOGL SATURDAY Night Dance Party at ADELPHIA RESTAURANT AND NIGHTCLUB, BOB PANTANO also collected donations toward the Radiothon. Between listener donations and a generous match by BOB PANTANO, the total for “PANTANO’s Pals” was over $21,000.
“I’m so proud to report that this was the best year yet for the 98.1 WOGL LOVES OUR KIDS RADIOTHON," WOGL-FM VP/GM JIM LOFTUS said. "The $681,575 donated was an unprecedented amount. Thanks to all who have helped make our world a better place through the commitment to THE CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL OF PHILADELPHIA. For the 13th year, we’re overwhelmed and humbled by the generosity of our 98.1 WOGL listeners and clients.”
