The NASHVILLE ENTREPRENEUR CENTER (EC) has teamed with CMA to produce the first music business accelerator. The new partnership leverages the EC's accelerator formula paired with the industry strengths of CMA for the continued development of the music industry.
"NASHVILLE is the logical place to launch this program," stated EC CEO MICHAEL BURCHAM. "MUSIC CITY is also the Entrepreneurial City and the 'it' city, where dreams become reality."
The music business accelerator will be a 14-week program to develop six to eight startups into investable businesses for NASHVILLE's music industry. Each startup will receive a $20,000 investment in exchange for equity in the business. Startups from across the globe are invited to apply by submitting proposals for new music business ideas.
"CMA was created to advance Country music and provide a forum for new ideas that support our business interests across every segment of the industry," explained CMA CEO SARAH TRAHERN. "This is an investment in the future of our business community and city."
