CLIP INTERACTIVE has pacted with DIGITY COMPANIES, LLC to develop interactive mobile radio applications for 68 radio stations in 16 markets, beginning with SAN JOSE, CA, which will go live in OCTOBER. The remainder of the apps will roll out in early 2015.
The interactive radio apps will significantly help increase listener engagement for DIGITY stations. “It is more important than ever for radio stations to optimize their mobile strategies to better engage their listeners and offer an additional return on investment for advertisers and local businesses,” DIGITY CEO DEAN GOODMAN said. “After extensive research, we determined that CLIP INTERACTIVE has the most comprehensive technology and has proven that their innovative interactive platform can deliver measurable results to our radio stations, advertisers and listeners.”
The DIGITY station apps will enable listeners to interact with and respond to all elements of the broadcast or mobile stream by downloading music, entering contests, accessing special offers, taking polls and more. “DIGITY is allowing us to further expand our footprint of interactive radio and help stations grow and retain advertising dollars they may have lost to digital only media,” CLIP INTERACTIVE CRO BILL FREUND said. “DIGITY is a rapidly-growing radio holdings company that is looking to establish itself as a forward thinker in the industry. We are thrilled to be a part of their strategic plan to make broadcast radio a stronger, more viable medium.”
