CBS CEO LES MOONVES has tongues wagging in the business TODAY (9/12), after remarks he made YESTERDAY on cable TV's "Closing Bell" show on CNBC. MOONVES hinted -- as he has on other occasions -- that the company would consider selling some radio stations outside its major markets.
"We still believe in radio," MOONVES told host DAVID FABER, but explained that "it is slow growth."
CBS owns radio in medium markets such as ST. LOUIS, LAS VEGAS, HARTFORD and SAN DIEGO,, which some suspect could be targeted.
As for selling all of CBS RADIO, Moonves said it is "highly doubtful."
