Former WINS, WCBS Newsman Allen E. Shaw Dies At 83

Condolences to family and friends of former WINS-A/NEW YORK newsman ALLEN E. SHAW, who died SUNDAY (9/14) at 83, according to NEWSDAY.

A post from daughter NATALIE on FACEBOOK notes that SHAW (not the station owner/executive/manager of the same name), a PORTLAND, OR native, joined WINS from WHB-A.KANSAS CITY in 1965.  He also worked at WCBS-A and the CBS RADIO NETWORK as well as CNBC.

A wake will be held TODAY 7-9p at M.A. CONNELL FUNERAL HOME in HUNTINGTON STATION, LONG ISLAND, NY.
