U.S. Republican SENATOR TED CRUZ of TEXAS will make a special appearance at PHILADELPHIA's NATIONAL CONSTITUTION CENTER on Constitution Day, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 17th at 8p (ET), for a discussion focused on the First and Fourth Amendments as part of CBS News/TALK RADIO 1210 (WPHT)/PHILADELPHIA’s "Speaker Series," with CHRIS STIGALL moderating.
CRUZ was elected as the 34th U.S. Senator from TEXAS in 2012, rising to national acclaim as the Solicitor General of the state, the chief lawyer before the U.S. SUPREME COURT. He graduated with honors from PRINCETON and with high honors from HARVARD LAW. He served as a law clerk to CHIEF JUSTICE WILLIAM REHNQUIST on the U.S. SUPREME COURT as the first ever Hispanic clerk to do so.
STIGALL is the host of “The CHRIS STIGALL Show” on TALK RADIO 1210, which airs weekdays from 6-9a (ET). His background includes an internship with the “Late Show with DAVID LETTERMAN” in NEW YORK and serving as a representative and press assistant to a U.S. Congressman. He was also named to TALKERS MAGAZINE's Top 100 most influential talk radio hosts in the country.
