KZZO Rallies Community Behind Firefighters

On THURSDAY, CBS RADIO Hot AC KZZO (NOW 100.5)/SACRAMENTO learned that the firefighters battling the KING FIRE near SACRAMENTO were running short on clean drinking water.  (The blaze has now officially been declared a state of emergency)

So NOW 100.5's morning show with TODD & NINA rallied listeners to do a "WATER DROP" and fill the station Suburban with bottled water and be off to the rescue.

Three hours, NINE suburban loads, and one giant U-HAUL truck later; they had to cut off donations and they diverted the extra water to the RED CROSS for evacuees.
