ERIC LYNCH, known to HOWARD STERN listeners as "Wack Packer" ERIC THE ACTOR, died SATURDAY in SACRAMENTO, CA at 39, according to his manager and friend JOHNNY FRATTO, who tweeted on SUNDAY, "I am so sorry and so sad to inform everyone that my friend ERIC 'THE ACTOR' LYNCH passed away yesterday afternoon!!!"
Known for his cantankerous calls to STERN's show since 2002 (and originally called "ERIC THE MIDGET" on the show), LYNCH appeared in guest shots on episodes of "AMERICAN DREAMS," "FRINGE," and "IN PLAIN SIGHT," and as himself on the FX series "LEGIT." He had been in chronic poor health and in a wheelchair, and most recently called in to STERN's show last week, on which TMZ reports LYNCH said that his parents would take over caretaker duties for him since FRATTO was moving away.
