Longtime radio personality BUDDY BARON tells ALL ACCESS he will hang up the headphones for good, following his FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26th morning show on BLAKENEY COMMUNICATIONS Country WBBN (B95)/LAUREL-HATTIESBURG, MS.
BARON has handled wakeups on B95 for the past 14 years. Previous stops in his 45-year career include WQXI/ATLANTA, WSAI and WWNK/CINCINNATI, KEZY/ANAHEIM, KIMN/DENVER, KOPA/PHOENIX, KVIL/DALLAS, KKHT/HOUSTON and KFRC, KSAN and KYCY/SAN FRANCISCO.
BARON’s longtime morning co-host and 18-year station vet ALLYSON SCOTT is also leaving for a new position outside of radio, as Dir./Public Relations for the JONES COUNTY, MS Sheriff's Department.
B95 midday personality JOE MCCOOL succeeds BARON in mornings; no word on who takes on middays.
BARON tells ALL ACCESS he and his wife, PAT will relocate to LAS VEGAS, "Where I'll continue to write screenplays and lose at poker."
Send congrats to BARON here.
