ENCINO BROADCASTING LLC and the FCC have entered a Consent Decree to settle late license renewal application and unauthorized operation violations at AUSTIN-area Spanish Contemporary Christian KELG-A (LA PALABRA 1440 AM)/MANOR, TX, Regional Mexican KOKE-A (OURO NORTENO 1600 AM)/PFLUGERVILLE, TX, and Tejano KTXZ-A (PARA LA GENTE 1560 AM)/WEST LAKE HILLS, TX. ENCINO will pay a "voluntary contribution" of $2,000 to settle the matter.
The licensee missed the AUGUST 1st, 2013 renewal application deadline and filed renewal applications on AUGUST 8th and STA applications for continued operation on AUGUST 12th. The licenses were reinstated and renewal granted, but ENCINO appealed the $18,000 fine based on hardship. The consent decree reduces the fine to $2,000.
