Be sure to check out an interview with the 90's group THE REMBRANDTS on WWW.BUZZFEED.COM, where they give big props to current CBS RADIO AC KYXY/SAN DIEGO OM/PD CHARLIE QUINN for helping to propel their song "I'll Be There For You" into becoming a national radio hit.
THE REMBRANDTS discuss how their song ended up becoming the theme song for the hit TV show "FRIENDS," and how QUINN, PD of WYHY (Y107)/NASHVILLE at the time, looped the 45 second snippet making it into a three minute pop song.
CHARLIE QUINN tells ALL ACCESS, "What started the ball rolling was my APD/PM drive talent TOM PEACE asking if there was a full-length song the label could supply us with. When the label told us one didn’t exist I improvised."
