Other than the formal filing of the previously-reported sale by affiliates of FINGER LAKES RADIO GROUP of several GENEVA, NY-area stations to LONG POINT COMMUNICATIONS, LLC for $3.375 million, the FCC database on TUESDAY morning showed only four stations filing to go or remain silent.
Among the filings, EDUCATIONAL MEDIA FOUNDATION has filed an amended request for a Silent STA for KLCQ/DURANGO, CO due to expiration of its tower lease.
BLACK GOLD BROADCASTING, INC. has filed for a Silent STA for WQXY-A/HAZARD, KY while it works on a site lease with the new tower owner.
SIDE BY SIDE, INC. has requested an extension of its Silent STA for W206BX/FREMONT, OH as it prepares an application for a move to a new tower site.
And TELCOM SUPPLY, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for KETX-A/LIVINGSTON, TX due to a lightning strike.
Also, JOSH BROADCASTING, LLC (SUNNYLANDS BROADCASTING, LLC and JODESHA BROADCASTING, INC.) has closed on the sale of Spanish Contemporary Christian KLSY (93.7 FAMILIA FM, formerly KANY)/MONTESANO, WA-TACOMA-SEATTLE to CENTRO FAMILIAR CRISTIANO for $6.75 million in a seller note.
And WILKS LICENSE COMPANY - KANSAS CITY LLC has closed on the sale of Top 40 KMXV (MIX 93.3), Country KFKF, Country KBEQ (Q104), and AC KCKC (KC 102.1)/KANSAS CITY to STEEL CITY MEDIA's MGTF RADIO COMPANY, LLC/MGTF MEDIA COMPANY, LLC for $105.5 million.
