As of OCTOBER 1st, BROOKDALE PUBLIC RADIO Triple A WBJB (90.5 THE NIGHT)/MONMOUTH-OCEAN will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary of radio broadcasting by kicking off a year-long celebration.
In OCTOBER of 1974, the radio voice of BROOKDALE COMMUNITY COLLEGE, went on the air for the first time. WBJB was the first on-air radio station at a community college in the state of NEW JERSEY.
"For four decades, BROOKDALE PUBLIC RADIO has been a central thread in the fabric of MONMOUTH COUNTY," said BROOKDALE PRESIDENT Dr. MAUREEN MURPHY. "Whether residents need vital information in the wake of a disaster or just a little music to get them home after work, 90.5 THE NIGHT is there for our community."
In celebration of 40 years of music and service, the station will air specialty programs, contests, membership specials and more.
