WFUV Releases ‘FUV Live 17’ Benefit CD

FORDHAM UNIVERSITY Triple A WFUV/NEW YORK has released an album of exclusive live performances recorded in the station’s Studio A.  FUV LIVE 17 contains 17 artists and is available with contributions of $100 or more during the station’s fall membership drive, which begins on OCTOBER 5th.

“The CD really reflects one of the ways music discovery works at WFUV,” said PD and FUV LIVE 17 producer RITA HOUSTON.  “We’re able to bring exciting newer talent like PHOX, WILD FEATHERS and LAKE STREET DIVE into the studio and capture the energy and immediacy of their live performances.  Plus, the videos we post of those performances add a whole other dimension to the listening experience, both with new artists and long-time favorites like CONOR OBERST, NEKO CASE and NICK LOWE.”

Other artists featured include COURTNEY BARNETT, WAR ON DRUGS, REAL ESTATE, TRIGGER HIPPY, JUNGLE and more.
