Legendary LONG ISLAND DJ FINGERS celebrates 31 years of his FINGERS METAL SHOP on COX RADIO Rock WBAB (102.3)/BABYLON, NY, with many of his famous friends at REVOLUTION BAR & MUSIC HALL (140 MERRICK ROAD, AMITYVILLE) on SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25th at 8p (ET).

FINGERS, the afternoon-drive host on WBAB, is a true LONG ISLAND music business success story; starting his career at WBAB on MARCH 15th, 1982, driving the van in promotions and ascending to his current stature as one of the most recognizable and respected DJs on air.

He debuted his FINGERS METAL SHOP (FMS) series on OCTOBER 23rd, 1983, and hundreds of hard rock and heavy metal bands have stepped through the doors at WBAB since that time. In his long and storied career, FINGERS has interviewed OZZY, ALICE COOPER, TWISTED SISTER, ALICE IN CHAINS, JUDAS PRIEST, KISS, DREAM THEATER, SLAYER and many more. FINGERS also had the honor of inducting DREAM THEATER and SUFFOCATION into the LONG ISLAND MUSIC HALL OF FAME and this year is inducting producer STEVE THOMPSON.

Why make such a big deal about 31? "Because historically FMS celebrates the number 13 with their 13th caller wins contests, crank it up to 13 and whenever the show lands on the 13th, the playlist reflects it," explains FINGERS. "Additionally, a segment in the show is called "13 MINUTES WITH...” and 31 is the opposite, so its a fun connection, and, as my brother SKI would say, 'You have to have fun.'"

The show will feature performances by DORO PESCH, RIOT V, DAVID DeFEIS of VIRGIN STEELE, TWISTED SISTER members JAY JAY FRENCH and MARK 'THE ANIMAL' MENDOZA and special appearances by members of SUFFOCATION, ADRENALINE MOB and more.

"The energy of hard rock and heavy metal runs deep and FINGERS METAL SHOP cultivates the metal fan who grew up in the '80s as well as exposes the new music weekly while never forgetting our roots," added FINGERS.

FINGERS is also known for his charity bike runs -- The WBAB NEW YEARS DAY COLD FINGER RUN for THE M.O.R.E FOUNDATION "CAMP ADVENTURE" program and the STICKY FINGER TWILIGHT RUN benefiting THE FORTUNADO BREAST HEALTH CARE CENTER at MATHER HOSPITAL. He also grand marshals several others and is an outspoken member of the L.I. motorcycle community.

"It’s been a blast being able to live in the eye of the storm of man and music," said FINGERS. "Music makes us think and feel. I love turning people on to new things that maybe touches and empowers them."

This CELEBRATION launches FINGERS METAL SHOP's SATURDAY night residency at REVOLUTION, which includes NOVEMBER 2nd (CRAVING STRANGE and MIDNIGHT MOB); NOVEMBER 8Tth (STARZ) and NOVEMBER 15th (NEON KNIGHTS' DIO tribute).
