Former NPR "THIS AMERICAN LIFE" and "PLANET MONEY" reporter ALEX BLUMBERG's podcast company start-up, currently being chronicled in the "STARTUP PODCAST," has raised $675,000 in a $1.5 million offering so far, according to an SEC filing, but his business partner MATT LIEBER now says that the firm has now passed the $1 million mark in funding, reports TECHNICAL.LY.
BLUMBERG and MATT LIEBER are raising funds to launch AMERICAN PODCASTING CORP., based in BROOKLYN, and are podcasting the process of developing the company in real time, including investor pitches and BLUMBERG and LIEBER's sometimes contentious dealings with each other over the project.
LIEBER told TECHNICAL.LY, “AMERICAN PODCASTING CORPORATION is the name we’re incorporated under, but we’ll be announcing a new name soon.”
