In case you haven't noticed, it's FOO FIGHTERS week, with DAVE GROHL's new HBO series, 'SONIC HIGHWAYS," debuting FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17th, at 11p (ET) and the band performing every evening on "LATE NIGHT WITH DAVID LETTERMAN," with special guests.
To mark the documentary series premiere, HBO is collaborating with FACEBOOK to present a livestream event, "LIFE FROM THE CUBBY BEAR," featuring the band's premiere party concert, available to fans in the U.S. on the HBO FACEBOOK PAGE.
FOO FIGHTERS will take the stage at CHICAGO’s THE CUBBY BEAR at midnight (ET) on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 17th immediately following a screening of the premiere episode. The show will feature the first ever in-concert performance of “Something From Nothing” the first single from the band’s forthcoming album, also titled "SONIC HIGHWAYS," out NOVEMBER 10th on ROSWELL/RCA RECORDS. It will arrive at radio on THURSDAY, while GROHL will call in to CBS RADIO Alternative KROQ/L.A.'s "KEVIN AND BEAN SHOW" on FRIDAY morning to talk about the series' premiere later that night.
HBO's "FOO FIGHTERS; SONIC HIGHWAY" is an eight-part documentary series that explores the heart and soul of AMERICA’s musical identity. Directed by GROHL, each one-hour episode is devoted to a different landmark city, chronicling the history, cultural environment and people that define each place's unique musical identity.
The premiere episode takes place in CHICAGO and prominently features THE CUBBY BEAR, a small club with huge personal significance to GROHL, who saw his first punk-rock show at the venue – an event that set him on his life’s path.
CHICAGO fans can attend the concert by purchasing tickets online at http://itsh.bo/FFChicago beginning WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 15th at 10a (CST), with a two-ticket maximum per customer and a 21+ age limit.
For fans who won’t have the opportunity to attend or catch the live stream of the concert, an archived version of the event will be made available on certain HBO platforms at a later date.
