Milky Chance Presented With Gold Plaques As New Album Hits

GERMAN duo MILKY CHANCE were presented with gold plaques yesterday by REPUBLIC RECORDS executives and management for their breakout single “Stolen Dance” at the label’s New York headquarters.
The band's new full-length album, "Sadnecessary," is available today.
This month, "Stolen Dance" received its official certification by the RIAA for digital sales and streams in excess of 500,000, marking the group’s first gold record in the STATES. The hit song peaked at #1 for nine consecutive weeks at Triple A and five consecutive weeks at #1 at Alternative radio. The video for the track has over 75 million views on YOUTUBE and they will be performing sold out shows in NEW YORK, LOS ANGELES and SAN FRANCISCO.
REPUBLIC RECORDS co-founder and chief executive MONTE LIPMAN, executive vice president CHARLIE WALK, and VP of A&R for REPUBLIC RECORDS/General Manager of CASABLANCA RECORDS BRETT ALPEROWITZ gave the band their plaques alongside management.
