The Amsterdam Dance Event Gets Underway

ALL ACCESS Dance Editor CARY VANCE is attending the AMSTERDAM DANCE EVENT in the DUTCH capital, and checks in with day 1 of the ADE in the books.

The day began with a great keynote by EELKO VAN KOOTEN of SPINNIN’ RECORDS. Throughout the day, many panel discussions discussed the future of Electronic Music Journalism, the Global Club Debate, Everything You Need To Know About Sampling, Creative Strategies on YOUTUBE, How To Connect With Brands and The Truth About Managers and Agents.

One of the highlights of the day was HARDWELL, ARMIN VAN BUUREN, TIESTO, AFROJACK & DASH BERLIN being honored with their own stamps. Four of them were handed stamps in person by POSTNL CEO HERNA VERHAGEN. TIESTO was immortalized on the unique stamps, but was unable to attend. These stamps were handed to the DJs at ADE X Samsung Home on Rembrandtplein in AMSTERDAM. They were presented by GIEL BEELEN from 3FM who explained how THE NETHERLANDS is leading in EDM and the major role these five DJs have had in that success.

Some of the best DJs were in and around ADE today, including DEORRO, TODD TERRY, DISCO FRIES, TOMMIE SUNSHINE and FERRY CORSTEN.
