iHEARTMEDIA/LEXINGTON, KY OM MICHAEL JORDAN, who doubles as PD for the cluster’s Country WBUL, has been named PD for Country sister WAMZ/LOUISVILLE. JORDAN succeeds 35-year WAMZ vet and Country Radio Hall of Famer COYOTE CALHOUN, who earlier this year announced his retirement, effective at year’s end (NET NEWS 7/15).
“MICHAEL was born and raised in in KENTUCKY,” said iHEARTMEDIA RPM KELLY CARLS. “He has distinguished himself with the outstanding success of WBUL and signature community events like the annual '4TH OF JULY RED, WHITE AND BOOM' festival. We’re thrilled to see him bring that expertise to WAMZ.”
JORDAN will continue his current responsibilities for LEXINGTON in addition to assuming the PD chair at ‘AMZ.
“COYOTE CALHOUN built WAMZ into a legendary brand,” said JORDAN. “We want to continue his legacy of great Country music, concerts, and a tireless dedication to the community. I’d like to thank KELLY CARLS, BILL GENTRY and iHEARTMEDIA’s senior leadership for this amazing opportunity.”
Congratulate JORDAN here.
