ALL ACCESS Dance Editor CARY VANCE is attending the AMSTERDAM DANCE EVENT in the DUTCH capital, and checks in with highlights of day 2 of the ADE.
A who’s who of Dance music continue to make their way to AMSTERDAM for ADE. Incredible Q&As were conducted with HANS ZIMMER, BOY GEORGE, SHOWTEK and SANDER VAN DOORN. Panel discussions included: From Pop Star To Label Head, Artist Development In A Singles Economy, Label Debate Life After The Death Of Downloads, The Art Of Collaboration featuring FERRY CORSTEN and MARKUS SCHULZ (NEW WORLD PUNX) along with their label, management team and booking agents.
Also attending the festivities were EELKO VAN KOOTEN, ROGER DEGRAAF, CEES VAN DER ZWAN and MICHELLE PUERTAS from SPINNIN, PATRICK MOXEY and DAVID WAXMAN from ULTRA, BRETT ALPEROWITZ/CASABLANCA, EDDIE O’LOUGHLIN/NEXT PLATEAU, STEPHANIE KARTEN/ROBBINS ENTERTAINMENT, JON HANLON/SONY MUSIC AUSTRALIA, CESAR LORES/SONY MUSIC SPAIN, CATALIN ALIONTE/ROTON MUSIC ROMANIA, FRANCIS CUCUZZELLA/KOO KOO RECORDS QUEBEC, JESSICA WILSON/THREE SIX ZERO GROUP, BRANDON GINSBERG/RED LIGHT MANAGEMENT, LIZ MILLER/SFX, HOSH GURELI/PRIMARY WAVE, JOSEPH FISHER/MVA, SAK NOEL, YOLANDA BE COOL and DARUDE.
Ultra Music threw a great party at the Dylan to close the ADE sessions on THURSDAY, and afterwards WARNER MUSIC GROUP threw a bash at the Nacional. Special thanks to CENTRAL STATION RECORDS, which is AUSTRALIA’s longest running independent label for the incredible dinner they hosted. It was great to see so many incredible music people at this dinner.
Today we’re looking forward to Q&As with JUNKIE XL, NICKY ROMERO, SUNNERY JAMES and RYAN MARCIANO, as well as the Q&A with JAMES BARTON from LOVE NATION. Panel discussions include The Brand New World Of Dance Journalism; SPOTIFY: How The Money Work; Behind The Scenes With AXTONE RECORDS.
