NASH ICON MUSIC, a joint record label venture between BIG MACHINE LABEL GROUP and CUMULUS MEDIA (NET NEWS 5/13), has signed REBA as its first act.
REBA made the announcement live on TODAY's (10/21) NASH-branded "AMERICA's MORNING SHOW," hosted by BLAIR GARNER, as CUMULUS EVP/Programming & Content JOHN DICKEY and BIG MACHINE LABEL GROUP Pres./CEO SCOTT BORCHETTA stood by in studio, with contract and pen in hand to make the news official.
"REBA is part of my DNA," said BORCHETTA, noting that the two had first worked together in 1991 during their time at MCA NASHVILLE.
Added DICKEY, "REBA is NASHVILLE; She is the singular force driving everything that makes Country great."
REBA told GARNER that she already has 11 songs cut for the project which were produced by TONY BROWN and JAMES STROUD.
No timetable for release of REBA's project was announced.
