We all know by now that SAN FRANCISCO radio stations have banned LORDE's "Royals," her valentine to former KANSAS CITY HALL OF FAMER GEORGE BRETT, for the duration of the current WORLD SERIES, but an enterprising BAY AREA broadcaster has taken things to a whole new level as the hometown GIANTS took a 1-0 lead with last night's 7-1 victory in Game One of the Fall Classic.
According to the SF GATE, CBS RADIO NETWORK News/Talk/Sports KCBS-A (740 AM)/SAN FRANCISCO newsman and on-air personality DOUG SOVERN dropped a decidedly GIANTS-friendly remix to the song.
The enterprising newsman pays credit to past GIANTS greats WILLIE MAYS and WILLIE McCOVEY and earns extra credit for attempting to rhyme “power” with “ISHIKAWA.”
