The GRAMMY's are tweaking the way they announce their nominations.
A new one-hour special, "A VERY GRAMMY CHRISTMAS," will air on CBS DECEMBER 5th, where the ALBUM OF THE YEAR nominees will be announced after performances from ARIANA GRANDE, MAROON 5, TIM McGRAW, and PHARRELL WILLIAMS, DECEMBER 5th on CBS, 9-10p (ET/PT) in HDTV and 5.1 surround sound. Additional performers will be announced shortly.
All other nominations (82 of 83 categories) will be revealed the morning of DECEMBER 5th. Further details regarding the unveiling of the 57th ANNUAL GRAMMY nominations will be announced shortly.
"A Very GRAMMY Christmas" will tape on TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18th, at the SHRINE AUDITORIUM in LOS ANGELES. Tickets for the general public are on sale now at www.ticketmaster.com or via TICKETMASTER charge-by-phone lines at (866) 448-7849.
The road to "Music's Biggest Night" begins with "A VERY GRAMMY CHRISTMAS" and culminates with the 57th ANNUAL GRAMMY Awards, live from STAPLES CENTER in LOS ANGELES on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 8th, 2015, and broadcast on CBS at 8p (ET/PT).
Last year's 56th ANNUAL GRAMMY Awards ultimately garnered more than 30 million viewers — the second-largest audience for the awards broadcast since 1993. The telecast also was the biggest social television event at that time, with 34 million social media interactions (with statistics compiled by FACEBOOK, INSTRAGRAM, TUMBLR and TWITTER).
